1. What we don't collect

For the vast majority of our tools, we do not collect, store, or transmit:

• The files you upload (they stay in your browser)
• The output files you generate (downloaded directly from your browser)
• The content of documents you process
• Passwords or credentials you use in our tools
• The images, PDFs, or other files you work with

2. What we do collect

We may collect minimal, non-personal technical information:

• Anonymous usage statistics — which tools are used, how often, and general traffic patterns. This helps us improve the site.
• Standard server logs — IP address, browser type, page visited, timestamp. This is standard for any website.
• Error reports — if a tool fails, we may receive anonymous diagnostic information to fix bugs.

This information is not linked to you personally and is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Browser-based processing

Most Marketly tools run entirely in your web browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. When you use a tool like Merge PDF, Image Compressor, or JSON Formatter, your files are loaded into your browser's memory, processed locally, and the result is downloaded back to you. Nothing is transmitted over the internet.

You can verify this by opening your browser's Developer Tools (F12) → Network tab while using a tool. You'll see no file uploads.

4. Server-based tools

A small number of tools require server-side processing (for example, PDF password protection and decryption). When you use these tools:

• Your file is transmitted to our server over an encrypted HTTPS connection
• The file is processed in memory (never written to disk)
• The result is returned to you
• The file is immediately discarded — nothing is stored or logged

These tools are clearly marked with a note about server-side processing.

5. Cookies

Marketly does not use tracking cookies. We may use:

• Session cookies — for keeping your preferences (like theme) across page loads. These expire when you close your browser.
• Local storage — your browser may save things like your API keys (if you enter them for AI tools) locally on your device. This data is never sent to our servers.

6. Third-party services

We may use the following third-party services:

• CDN providers (jsDelivr, cdnjs, unpkg) — for loading JavaScript libraries used by the tools
• Analytics — anonymous, aggregated traffic data (if enabled)

We never sell or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

7. Children's privacy

Marketly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your rights

Because we do not collect personal information from you, there is nothing for us to delete or export. If you are in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you have the right to ask what data we hold about you — the answer will typically be "none" or "anonymous session logs only."

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
